SoCal Golden Guards was created in the fall of 2024 as an exclusive provider of extremely qualified lifeguards for residents of Southern California. All of our lifeguards are currently employed with a lifeguarding agency for a city or county ranging from pools to open water beaches and lakes. This allows our lifeguards to come back with more experience and up to date training for SoCal Golden Guards year-round. In addition, all lifeguards are privately referred and vetted by current staff to ensure competency for your events. We do not take open applications to maintain the quality of our vetting process.
Many of our lifeguards boast a rich history of aquatic experience, both for leisure and professional work. Their expertise spans from competitive water polo and swimming at the club and collegiate level, to holding lifeguard certifications for pools and open water, all accredited by the American Red Cross. Some of our staff also maintains current Emergency Medical Technician certifications on their pursuit towards firefighting, nursing, or wherever their journey takes them.
This private lifeguarding service is designed to simplify the process of reserving a lifeguard for the first time, as well as for following events. By integrating a calendar into the booking page, clients can easily book their requested event date with less middlemen to deal with. This eliminates the uncertainty of the quality of lifeguards you hire. You will never receive a lifeguard without extensive experience or current certifications.
Our goal is to set the gold standard in delivering consistent quality and pool surveillance vigilance for every event. Pools and yards vary in size, slides, drop-offs, diving boards, and steps, which dictates our approach to devising a coverage and emergency action plan based on each location. Customized rule sets are developed with the host’s input to accommodate any special considerations of potential hazards or off limit areas. This ensures consistent rule enforcement at recurring parties or events. We pride ourselves on providing peace of mind at your events so you and your guests can enjoy your event ranging from pool parties to the occasional wedding. Every Golden Guard lifeguard undergoes training through their American Red Cross sanctioned programs at their respective pool, or open water academy, achieving standards that surpass many other city based or standalone certification programs. Some possess dual certifications for both pool and open water environments, and numerous guards are actively serving with their agencies, continuously honing their skills. You and your family’s safety is their profession. Opt for lifeguards who are dedicated to this role throughout the year.
All lifeguards are certified in EMR Basic Life Support and Emergency Oxygen, First Aid for Public Safety Personnel (Title 22), Lifeguarding in Deep Water and Waterfront Skills w/ CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and Bloodborne Pathogen Training.
